Okay so my cats love this scratching post, but one of them is a diva and prefers it on the floor. It is very well made, sturdy and the cardboard is very durable. When I let the cats go on the back porch to play, the scratcher is the the first thing they run to. I love that they run to scratching post, and scratch that instead of the carpet. It is very easy to clean, you just shake it over the litter box and you can spray it off with a garden hose for a deeper clean if needed.
