This works great! To be honest I have wanted one of these for the longest time. I have literally lost my voice yelling to wake everyone up in the morning, and my hubby is the worst of them all. He sleeps through everything 2 alarms, me yelling, etc the only way to wake him up is splashing water in his face...until now! I absolutely love this thing the siren, music and me talking into it is so loud. You can adjust the volume and it can be heard up to 800 yards. Waking my family up is no longer stressful its so much fun. When I got this in the mail my hubby was like oh-no, I went right to the store and got 4 d batteries and have been using this every morning since. This is also great for cheering at sports games, coaching, calling your kids inside, etc. Police and firefighters use this as well for crowd control I definitely recommend this, its a great quality product for a great price.
